Welcome to Dance Tech.
Dance Tech Studio is a dance school serving the Idaho Falls, ID area. Learn how to move your feet into an incredible art form with finely crafted dance instruction from Dance Tech's professional instructors. Whether you are a beginner or looking to keep up with your team, we provide the comprehensive and demanding services you need so you can be on top of your game. For over 24 years, Dance Tech has been your premier dance studio in the Idaho Falls area.
Our new facility has four large professional teaching studios featuring a "floating floor", one-way mirrored viewing windows, a large parking lot, dance apparel store, heat and A/C, water fountains, lockers and more. Students enrolled at Dance Tech will gain poise, confidence, grace, flexibility, coordination and good health.
Here is how our story: In 1986 Lynn & Lori Webb moved their family to Idaho Falls from Pocatello, Idaho. That spring Lori started making plans to organize a dance team to perform in the 4th of July parade. She taught classes in their backyard and in their basement. After the parade was over, many of the dancers on the team continued to take classes and Dance Tech (DT) was officially off and running.
After a couple of years, enrollment had grown to the point that Dance Tech could now afford to move into a professional studio. As our classes continued to grow DT, added more instructors who are experienced, dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring; and who have played a major part in helping to make Dance Tech what it is today. DT added friendly and efficient receptionists to answer phone calls and do the office work in order for our instructors to teach without interruption.
Today, Dance Tech is recognized all over the region as one of the premier dance studios in Idaho. DT has won numerous awards at competitions and have had many dancers go on to dance and/or teach at High Schools, Colleges, and professionally. Many students who were enrolled in DT’s early years, now bring their own children to Dance Tech. In fact, several of our instructors were students in the beginning.
After the sudden death of Lynn Webb in April of 2006, it was hard for Lori to keep the studio going without him by her side. However, the DT staff and her family rallied around her and kept things running smoothly, while she got back on her feet. She is happy to now have a new husband, Matt Allred by her side.
In September 2008 Dance Tech built a new studio which enabled them to offer more variety of classes and class times. This season will mark Dance Tech's 25th anniversary. The studio is located 2633 E. 14th N. (behind Majestic Auto).
If you are planning to dance this fall, please contact DT as soon as possible. Some of the most popular classes are already full (or filling fast).
Well, that is Dance Tech’s story. Life is good and the excitement of a new year is invigorating. We, DT’s owners and staff, hope that if you are interested in dance, you will choose to come to Dance Tech. Otherwise, as the song goes, "We hope you Dance".
Thanks for taking the time to learn about us,
Lori and Staff
